Benefits of owning TMO tokens

TokenMaker.org is on a mission to democratize tokenization and provide zero-code, self-serve solutions for emerging token contracts and technology. Holders of TMO tokens reap the benefits of early access to our research and get to have a say in the kinds of next-generation features we’re building via governance voting.

Governance is a mechanism to allow token holders to help shape the future of a protocol. Governance token holders can influence decisions concerning the project such as proposing or deciding on new feature proposals, including changing the governance system itself.

Priority access

Community members have priority access for the next utilities that become available on the TokenMaker platform. They get early access, and can use these features before the public can. Community membership is achieved by holding at least 1,000 TMO tokens.

Token Governance

Token Holders are grouped into three tiers:

Guardians can enter proposals to the community via the TokenMaker Governance Portal, allowing those who have the majority token share to have most influence on decisions. The cost of submitting a proposal is 400 TMO tokens. The paid tokens are burned permanently.


Makers can vote on proposals, as well as making them. Once the token threshold to be a Maker is reached, every token held represents one vote. Additionally, Makers have priority access to new TMO utilities, contract types and features.


Elite holders' have increased voting power. Each token held counts as two votes in any governance proposal. This model incentivizes token ownership and grants members greater voting power. If an Elite member is an institution, their Company logo can optionally be featured on the TokenMaker website as an Early Adopter in the community.
